Kendra D. Freeman, DVM, MS, Diplomate AVCS-LA, SA

Kendra Freeman is a New Mexico native and a 2009 graduate of Colorado State University. Following veterinary school, Dr. Freeman completed two internships in large animal surgery and critical care in the mid-Atlantic region. An equine surgical residency and master’s degree was completed at Virginia Tech’s Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center. Dr. Freeman achieved board certification status in large animal surgery with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2015. Dr. Freeman pursued additional training to earn board certification in small animal surgery in 2021 and maintains dual certification with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary surgery, especially orthopedic, soft tissue and sports medicine cases and is a contributing author for Veterinary Practice News. In her free time, Dr. Freeman enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and competing in canine agility.
