Meet the Team
Sarah Allred, DVM
Dr. Allred is an east coast native who completed her undergraduate training at the University of Florida, receiving her bachelors in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. She then lived in West Africa for over two years where she worked on a variety of environmental projects through the Peace Corps. While she was there, Dr. Allred adopted a local dog and cat - who have been to three continents and are happy to be living in the desert again. Despite being a lifelong animal lover, it was her time in West Africa that caused her to realize her passion for medicine and One Health. Dr. Allred became a double Gator when she received her DVM from the University of Florida, graduating with honors and certificates in Shelter Medicine and Aquatic Animal Health.
Dr. Allred enjoys the variety of complex cases that present in emergency medicine. She has a special passion for cats and she's never met a pariah dog that she didn’t love. She is Fear Free certified.
When she is not at work, Dr. Allred enjoys spending time with her family (including the most perfect dog in the world), enjoying the plethora of beautiful hiking opportunities that NM has to offer, and quilting.
